    Daily Energy Protein Smoothie

    This smoothie turns out green with the addition of Spirulina but it’s definitely healthy and deliciously flavored!

    INGREDIENTS

    * 1 cup skim milk
    * 1 teaspoon flax seed oil (keep refrigerated or in the freezer or it’s healthful powers are eliminated)
    * 1 banana, cut into chunks
    * 1/2 cup berries or 1/2 cup fruit (frozen makes a good summer drink)
    * 1 teaspoon spirulina (powder form from health food stores)
    * 2 -4 tablespoons soyprotein powder or 2 -4 tablespoons riceprotein powder or 1/2 cup silken tofu

    DIRECTIONS

    • In a blender, put the liquid ingredients. Blend covered.
    • Remove cover and start adding the Banana, Fruit, Spirulina powder or the protein powder or silken tofu.
    • Makes 2 servings.

    Banana and Date Protein Smoothie

    I love this recipe. It’s delicious and healthy! What more could I ask for?

    INGREDIENTS

    * 3/4 cup almond milk
    * 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
    * 1/2 cup silken tofu
    * 1/3 cup chopped dates (7 dates)
    * 2 tablespoons peanut butter or 2 tablespoons tahini
    * 1 frozen banana

    DIRECTIONS

    • In a blender, mix almond milk with yogurt and tofu. Put all the rest of the ingredients in and puree until smooth.
    • Makes 2 servings.

    Blueberry Banana Soy Protein Smoothie

    This makes a great after workout protein drink! Refreshingly delicious!

    INGREDIENTS

    * 3 cups low-fat soymilk
    * 1/3 cup unflavored soy powder
    * 1 medium size banana
    * 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
    * 1/2 cup Fiber One cereal
    * 1 teaspoon Splenda sugar substitute

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put plain low-fat soymilk and soy powder in a blender. Process for 10 seconds and then add the frozen blueberries and banana sliced in half. Blend for another 10 seconds.
    • Finally, add the Fiber One cereal and Splenda. Puree until smooth and creamy. Serve.
    • Makes 2 servings.

    Cherry Vanilla Lunch Smoothie Recipe

    “It’s an interesting drink!”

    INGREDIENTS      

    1 cup Frozen Cherries
     (not in syrup, try organic if possible)
    1/2 cup Frozen Strawberries (not in syrup, try organic if possible)
    1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries or blackberries
    3 tbsp.  ground flax seed (organic food store or WildHarvest)
    1 tsp wheat germ (seriously, they CAN NOT taste it!)
    2 small scoops fat free vanilla frozen yogurt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 tbsp. peanut butter (it’s not noticeable by taste)
    1 cup of 100% cranberry juice
    1/4 tsp. Cinnamon

    DIRECTIONS

    • Blend until smooth; add ice to thicken or juice to thin, as desired. Makes two

    Chocoberry Geek Smoothie Recipe

    “It’s a chocolate drink with a fruit within.”

    INGREDIENTS      

    Mix up a quart or two of Crystal Light just to have on hand.
    1 scoop chocolate Designer Whey Powder (2 carbs).
    1 cup frozen raspberries (6 net carbs).
    1/2 cup frozen strawberries (3.2 net carbs).
    Raspberry Crystal Light to taste and desired consistency (0 carbs).

    DIRECTIONS

    • Add whey powder and frozen berries to blender.
    • Add Crystal Light until berries are barely covered.
    • Blend to desired consistency and add more Crystal Light to taste.
    • Fills one 16 ounce party cup for about 11 net carbs.
    • Add more whey powder or Crystal Light and reduce berries to reduce carbs.

    Coconut Smoothie Recipe

    INGREDIENTS      

    1 cup Coconut Milk
    1-2 tbsp. protein powder (goat protein, whey, or rice protein)
    1 tbsp. virgin coconut oil
    1 tbsp.  ground flax seeds
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1/4 tsp. stevia powder
    8-10 ice cubes

    DIRECTIONS

    • Place all ingredients but ice in a blender and process at high speed until well combined.
    • Add ice after the coconut oil is blended so that it won’t clump.
    • Option: You may use more or less ice, depending on how cold you like a smoothie.

    “Yummy! You’ll surely love this drink!”

    INGREDIENTS      

    1 Apple
    2 Bananas
    500 ml Soy Milk
    2 tbsp.  Peanut Butter
    2 tbsp.  Sugar
    Serves: 2

    DIRECTIONS

    • Peel the apple and dissect it.
    • Extract the seeds and chop it into several chunks.
    • Peel the bananas and slice them.
    • Place the cut apple pieces and the banana slices into a blender jar and add Soy Milk, peanut butter and sugar.
    • Blend it well till you get a nice and thick smoothie.
    • Note: High in protein and fills you up real good. People trying to lose weight should skip this.

    Love Machine Smoothie Recipe

    “This is quite healthy drink. Try this one!”

    INGREDIENTS      

    1 cup squeezed orange juice
    1/2 banana
    1 scoop of vanilla whey protein (I use Power Whey Isolate)
    1/2 cup of mixed frozen berries
    Optional: 1 tablespoon of Udo’s Oil (or comparative Omega-3 blend)

    DIRECTIONS

    • Throw all of the ingredients into a blender.
    • Blend for 45 seconds or until a sufficient level of creaminess.
    • Note that because of the protein/carb balance, this is intended as a post-workout shake.
