    Persimmon Yogurt Smoothie

    This is a suprisingly creamy smoothie recipe that would definitely become your favorite just as much as I did.

    INGREDIENTS

    * 5 persimmons, peeled
    * 80 mL plain yogurt
    * ice cubes to taste
    * 60 mL orange juice
    * 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    * 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put all the ingredients in a blender. Puree until smooth and serve.
    • Makes at least 4 servings.

    Persimmon Apple Smoothie

    Beat the summer heat with this delightful smoothie recipe!

    INGREDIENTS

    * 2 persimmons, diced small enough for your blender
    * 1 apple, quartered (Fuji, Gala, Braeburn work best)
    * 1 cup soymilk (or almond milk, or nonfat dairy)
    * 1/2 cup orange juice
    * 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    * 1/2-1 teaspoon lemon juice
    * 2 -4 ounces spinach (optional, you won’t taste it but it will change the color to a bright green) (optional)
    * 2 tablespoons hemp protein powder (optional)

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put all the ingredients in a blender and combine until smooth. If preferred add a tablespoon of honey, 2 packets of Splenda or any sweetener of your choice. Serve.
    • Makes one serving.

    Give persimmon a try and you’ll never regret it!

    INGREDIENTS

    *2 very ripe Hachiyas persimmons
    *1 cup organic coconut milk
    *pinch of ground ginger
    *pinch of ground cardamom-optional

    DIRECTIONS

    • At high speed blender setting, combine all the ingredients. Add ice or water until preferred consistency is achieved.
    • Makes one serving.

    5 persimmons, without skin and seeds
    2 cups orange juice
    1 cup frozen berries

    DIRECTIONS

    • Blend all ingredients and serve immediately.
