This smoothie is truly packed with all your favorite fruits. It’s a feast!

INGREDIENTS
2 bananas
1 orange
1 apple
2 chunks of fresh pineapple
2 kiwis
1-2 cups of frozen blueberries
10-12 frozen strawberries
1- 2 cups cranberry juice
1 (14 ounces) can light condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1(8 ounces) carton plain yogurt
1 small banana, cut up
1 cup frozen or fresh whole strawberries
1(8 ounces)can crushed pineapple packed with juice,chilled
2 tablespoons real lemon juice from concentrate
1 cup ice cubes
Halved fresh strawberries, optional

DIRECTIONS
- Put low fat yogurt, banana, whole strawberries, pineapple with its juice and real lemon into a blender. Cover and combine until smooth. Keep the motor running as you add the ice cubes gradually.
- Serve with garnish of halved strawberries (optional).

Use skim milk for lower fat value smoothie drink.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup milk
1 packet instant oat meal,regular flavor
1 whole banana, cut in chunks
1 cup orange juice

DIRECTIONS
- Put all the ingredients into a blender. Puree until smooth or process to high speed for one minute.
- Makes one serving.

1 cup soy milk
2 cups pineapple juice
1 frozen banana
1 table spoon maple syrup
2 tablespoons non fat dry milk

DIRECTIONS
- Combine all the ingredients into a blender until smooth.
- Makes one serving.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 of a medium papaya, peeled, seeded, and chopped (3/4 cup)
1/2 cup fresh strawberries
1/2 cup fat-free milk
1/2 cup plain fat-free yogurt
1 tablespoon honey
3 large ice cubes
Papaya or strawberry slices (optional)
Fresh mint (optional)

DIRECTIONS
- Put the first five ingredients into a blender. Cover and puree until smooth.
- Add the ice cubes, one at a time, with the blender still running. Once smooth and the ice is crushed, pour the smoothie mixture into tall glasses. Use papaya or strawberry slices and mint as garnish then serve.
- Makes 2 servings.

1 small banana, peeled, cut up, and frozen
1/4 cup fresh or frozen assorted berries (such as raspberries, blackberries, and/or strawberries)
1 cup orange juice
3 tablespoons vanilla low-fat yogurt
Fresh mint (optional)
Fresh berries (optional)

DIRECTIONS
- Place the frozen banana pieces, desired fresh or frozen berries, orange juice and yogurt in a blender. Cover and puree until smooth.
- Pour into glasses and use fresh mint and additional berries as garnish, if preferred.
- Makes 2 servings.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup sliced carrots
1/2 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
1 cup orange juice
1 1/2 cups ice cubes
Orange peel curls (optional)

DIRECTIONS
- Cook the carrots in a small saucepan with small amount of water. Cover as it boils for 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and cool the carrots well.
- Transfer the cooled carrots in a blender. Add the orange peel and orange juice. Puree the mixture, covered and blending until smooth. Add the ice cubes last and put the cover back on. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the smoothie mixture into glasses and use the orange peel curls as garnish. Serve.
- Makes 3 servings.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup fat-free milk
1 cup fresh lime segments, frozen
2 cups nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt, slightly softened
juice of 1 lime
2 lime wedges, for garnish

DIRECTIONS
- Mix milk and segments for 20 seconds on Medium in a blender.
- Add yogurt and juice; blend until thick and frothy.
- Pour into glasses; garnish with wedges.

INGREDIENTS
3 cups vanilla soy milk
1 banana, peeled, chopped, and frozen
1 1/2 cups frozen raspberries
1 tsp. almond extract
6 tbs. sugar

DIRECTIONS
- Combine all the ingredients in a blender, on Low for 20 seconds; increase to High; blend until thick and frothy.
- Pour into glasses and serve.
|
