    You can make use of ice cubes of frozen bananas for a colder variety for this delicious smoothie energy drink.

    INGREDIENTS

    1 cup (8 ounces) young Thai coconut water plus coconut meat
    2 bananas
    1 teaspoon ginger (more or less for taste)

    DIRECTIONS

    • Combine all the ingredients into a blender, processing over high speed for 30 seconds or until creamy.

    You can turn this smoothie into a green variety by adding fresh baby spinach, romaine lettuce or any preferred dark green leaf veggies. The combination of ginger and pineapple would be enough to cover any bitter taste.

    INGREDIENTS

    1 cup fresh pineapple, cubed
    2 medium carrots or 1 cup grated/shredded
    1 banana, peeled
    1/2 to 1 inch of fresh ginger, grated (to taste)
    4 to 6 ounces almond milk

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put all the ingredients into a blender. Press high and combine for 30 seconds until smooth.

    INGREDIENTS

    2 medium carrots, chopped
    1 medium apple, cored
    2 large handfuls of raw baby spinach
    1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger root
    4 to 6 ounces of filtered water

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put carrots, apple, ginger root and water into a blender. Press the pulse button several times or until combines.
    • Add the greens and mix the ingredients at high speed for 30 seconds or until smooth and creamy.

    2 oranges, peeled
    2 large, organic carrots, chopped
    ½ to 1 inch ginger to taste
    1-2 splashes of water
    Ice to chill if desired

    INGREDIENTS

    1 to 1 ½ inches of fresh ginger root, grated
    1 large organic red delicious apple, cored
    1 medium organic cucumber, with peel
    ½ ripe papaya, peeled
    1/4 large avocado, peeled and pitted
    2 cups organic dandelion greens, chopped (or greens of your choice)
    1 scoop hemp or rice protein powder
    1/2 teaspoon of raw maca power
    4 to 6 ounces filtered water

    Here is a healthy smoothie drink that would surely perk you up with it’s sweet and awesome taste.

    INGREDIENTS

    2 cups crushed ice
    5 1/2 ounces coconut milk
    3/4 cup milk
    1 tablespoon white sugar
    1 tablespoon honey
    2 teaspoons ground flax seed
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put crushed ice, coconut milk and milk into a blender. Add sugar, honey, flax seed, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and vanilla extract then combine until smooth. Serve.

    Instead of buying those bottled ginger juice, why not make your own by squeezing up chopped fresh ginger.

    INGREDIENTS

    * 1 cup chopped honeydew melon
    * 1/3 cup chopped peeled kiwi, (1 large)
    * 1/2 ripe banana, sliced
    * 1/4 cup white grape juice
    * 1/2 teaspoon ginger juice, (see Ingredient Note)
    * 2 teaspoons lime juice
    * 1/3 cup lemon sorbet
    * 1/2 cup ice

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put all the ingredients into the blender. Set it to pulse three times or until the fruits have been chopped well. Set to puree and pour into glasses. Serve.

    Carrot and Ginger Smoothie

    I love the natural flavor of carrots and ginger spice this up a bit for this recipe.

    INGREDIENTS

    1 & ½ cups crushed ice
    ½ cup plain yogurt
    1 cup 100% carrot juice
    ½ of a medium apple (leave skin on)
    7 ounces natural ginger beer, chilled

    DIRECTIONS

    • In a blender, combine ice, yogurt, carrot juice and apple until ice and apple has been blended well with the rest of the ingredients.
    • Pour the ginger beer into four glasses evenly. Fill the glasses with the mixture and stir. Serve.
    • Makes 4 servings.
