Apple is easy to blend with other fruit for a smoothie recipe. It’s pretty healthy too!

INGREDIENTS
1 apple
1 cup red grapes
1 whole carrot
2 cups fresh baby spinach (or other leafy green)
1/8 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup water

- In a blender, put all the ingredients and combine until smooth. Serve.

- In a blender, put all the ingredients excluding lettuce and pulse until combined.
- Add lettuce and set blender to high settings for 30 seconds or just until smooth.

INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup fresh pomegranate juice (Juice from one large pomegranate.)
1 oz (2 tablespoons) whole acai berry juice or 100 grams of frozen acai berry puree*
2 cups frozen wild blueberries
2 organic bananas
1/8 cup flax seeds
4 ounces filtered water (optional if needed)

DIRECTIONS
- To juice the pomegranate, empty seeds in a strainer with a metal bowl underneath and mash with a spoon.
- Place the juice into a blender along with all the other ingredients. Set to high settings and puree for 30 seconds of until creamy.
- Serve.

* 1/2 cup orange juice
* 1/2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
* 1 cup unsweetened frozen mixed berries or blueberries
* 1 small banana, sliced

- Put all the flaxseeds into the blender. Put cover and process until the flaxseeds are finely powdered in texture.
- Add the remaining ingredients and process until a smooth and creamy texture has been achieved.
- Makes 1 serving.
