    Apple-Grape Smoothie

    Apple is easy to blend with other fruit for a smoothie recipe. It’s pretty healthy too!

    INGREDIENTS

    1 apple
    1 cup red grapes
    1 whole carrot
    2 cups fresh baby spinach (or other leafy green)
    1/8 cup flax seeds
    1/2 cup water

    DIRECTIONS

    • In a blender, put all the ingredients and combine until smooth. Serve.

    INGREDIENTS

    2 apples
    1/2 lemon juiced
    2 cups fresh baby spinach (or other leafy green)
    1 whole carrot
    1/2 cup of water

    DIRECTIONS

    • Combine all the ingredients in a blender. Puree until smooth and serve.

    For this smoothie recipe triple berry treat, banana and flax seed made it simply irresistible!

    INGREDIENTS

    1/2 cup organic sliced strawberries
    1/2 cup frozen wild blueberries
    1 3.5 (100 gram) serving of frozen acai berry puree OR 1 ounce acai juice
    2 bananas
    1/8 cup flax seeds
    4 to 5 ounces of filtered water

    DIRECTIONS

    • Combine all the ingredients in blender and set to high settings for 30 seconds or just until smooth.

    Fruits and greens combined in one healthy smoothie recipe!

    INGREDIENTS

    1 3.5 ounce (100 gram) serving of frozen acai puree OR
    3 tablespoons acai berry juice
    1 to 2 sprigs of fresh mint (to taste)
    2 bananas
    1 cup organic red grapes
    1/8 cup flax seeds
    1 small head of organic romaine lettuce
    2 ounces filtered water if needed

    DIRECTIONS

    • In a blender, put all the ingredients excluding lettuce and pulse until combined.
    • Add lettuce and set blender to high settings for 30 seconds or just until smooth.

    You can add greens to this smoothie recipe such as lettuce, romaine, fresh baby spinach or non-bitter tasting leaves.

    INGREDIENTS

    3 tablespoons of acai berry juice or 100 grams of frozen acai puree
    2 cups organic red grapes
    1 large organic apple
    1/8 cup flax seeds

    DIRECTIONS

    • In a blender, put all the ingredients together and blend over high settings for 30 seconds. Once smooth, pour into a glass and enjoy!

    Acai-Pomegranate Smoothie

    A very healthy smoothie recipe made with pomegranate juice , acai, blueberries and flax seeds!

    INGREDIENTS

    1/4 cup fresh pomegranate juice (Juice from one large pomegranate.)
    1 oz (2 tablespoons) whole acai berry juice or 100 grams of frozen acai berry puree*
    2 cups frozen wild blueberries
    2 organic bananas
    1/8 cup flax seeds
    4 ounces filtered water (optional if needed)

    DIRECTIONS

    • To juice the pomegranate, empty seeds in a strainer with a metal bowl underneath and mash with a spoon.
    • Place the juice into a blender along with all the other ingredients. Set to high settings and puree for 30 seconds of until creamy.
    • Serve.

    This smoothie recipe is so flavorful. I especially loved the tangy taste which I would surely prepare as one of my morning energizer.

    INGREDIENTS

    * 1/2 cup yogurt
    * 1 kiwi, skin removed
    * 2 teaspoons flax seeds
    * 1 teaspoon bee pollen (optional)
    * 1/2 cup of frozen berries, of your choice
    * 1 pear, skin and all quartered

    DIRECTIONS

    • Place the flaxseeds in a coffee grinder to powder it to a fine texture.
    • In a blender, put all the ingredients together and process until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

    Berry-Flaxseed Smoothie

    It’s not everyday that you would find flaxseeds in most recipes. But this smoothie recipe would make a great and healthy drink for mornings.

    INGREDIENTS

    * 2 tablespoons whole flaxseeds
    * 1/2 cup orange juice
    * 1/2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
    * 1 cup unsweetened frozen mixed berries or blueberries
    * 1 small banana, sliced

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put all the flaxseeds into the blender. Put cover and process until the flaxseeds are finely powdered in texture.
    • Add the remaining ingredients and process until a smooth and creamy texture has been achieved.
    • Makes 1 serving.
