You can use any fruit yogurt for this recipe. Experiment and find out which ones would your family prefer.
|

INGREDIENTS
* 1 (6 oz) container low fat lemon yogurt
* 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple in its own juice, drained
* 1 (16 oz) can blackberries in lite syrup, drained
* 1 C ice cubes |

DIRECTIONS
- Put the yogurt into the blender. Add in the pineapple and blackberries. Top with ice cubes and blend until smooth.
|
|

Cool off thos hot and humid days with this refreshing smoothie recipe. You can leave out the salt if preferred.
|

INGREDIENTS
* 1 frozen peach
* 10 frozen blueberries
* 1 (6 oz) container frozen low fat vanilla yogurt
* ½ C skim milk
* ½ TBSP pecans, crushed
* ½ tsp. salt
* ¼ tsp. vanilla |

DIRECTIONS
- Put the peach and blueberries in a blender. Add in the yogurt and set at pulse setting just to combine.
- Next, add the milk, pecans and vanilla. If preferred, add salt and process until smooth.

If you want to alter the taste of this smoothie, you may use flavored yogurt. Add sugar according to taste.
|

INGREDIENTS
* ½ of a cantaloupe, peeled, seeded and chunked
* 1 C fresh raspberries
* ½ C yogurt
* 1 ½ TBSP sugar (or sugar substitue) |

DIRECTIONS
- Put the cantaloupe and raspberries into the blender.
- Carefully fold in the yogurt and sprinkle with sugar.
- Blend the mixture until smooth.

Add more pineapple or grapefruite juice into the mixture if it turns out too thin.

INGREDIENTS
* ½ C pineapple juice
* ¼ C grapefruit juice
* 4 strawberries, stemmed and cut into pieces
* 1 banana, peeled and cut into pieces |

DIRECTIONS
- Prepare the blender and pour the pineapple and grapefruit juice to combine. Add strawberries and bananas then blend until smooth and to preferred thickness.

Once the drink seems to turn out too thick, add your preferred blend of juice, adding it for about a teaspoon at a time.

INGREDIENTS
* ¼ C orange juice
* ¼ C pineapple juice
* ¼ C grapefruit juice
* ¼ C lime juice
* 4 TBSP low fat plain yogurt
* 1 C ice |

DIRECTIONS
- Put all the juices into the blender and process it with yogurt then with ice. Blend well until smooth and serve.

INGREDIENTS
* 1 Bart let pear, peeled, cored and cut into small chunks
* ½ C seedless grapes
* 1 banana, cut into small chunks
* 2 tsp. honey
* ¼ C cranberry juice
* 6 ice cubes |

DIRECTIONS
- Prepare the blender. Put the pears, grapes, banana and honey.
- Process the ingredients until pureed. Pour in the cranberry juice and set to pulse to combine well.
- Add the ice cubes and process until the mixture is thick.

INGREDIENTS
* 1 C orange juice
* 1 C frozen peaches
* 1 frozen banana, cut into small chunks
* 2 TBSP toasted slivered almonds |

DIRECTIONS
- Prepare the blender and pour in the juice. Add the peaches and banana gently. Add in the almonds next and continue blending until smooth.

INGREDIENTS
* ¼ C crushed pineapple, drained
* 1 apricot, chopped
* 4 strawberries, trimmed and chopped
* 1 banana, chopped
* 1 ½ C water
* 1 TBSP powdered skim milk
* 1 TBSP protein powder
* 1 tsp. flax oil seed |

DIRECTIONS
- Combine all of the ingredients into a blender. Process until combined. Pour water followed by the addition of powdered milk, powdered protein and flax oil seed.
- Process all the ingredients together until smooth.
